Acupuncture

A time-tested technique using very fine needles — for stubborn pain, tension, and stress, alongside your chiropractic care.

What it is

Acupuncture, in plain terms

Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles placed at specific points on the body. Most patients are surprised how little they feel — these are nothing like the needles anyone dreads.

It pairs naturally with chiropractic care and massage: many patients turn to it for stubborn pain, muscle tension, and stress that hasn't fully let go with other approaches.

What to expect at your visit

  1. 1
    Talk it through first

Your history and goals — and an honest answer on whether acupuncture is a fit for what's going on.

  2. 2
    Gentle placement

Very fine, sterile, single-use needles, explained before anything happens — you stay in control.

  3. 3
    Rest, then reassess

A short, quiet rest during treatment, and a plan that adapts to how you respond.

Common questions

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most patients feel a tiny prick or nothing at all — the needles are far finer than the ones used for shots. If anything feels wrong, say so and your provider adjusts immediately.

Are the needles safe?

Yes — sterile, single-use, and disposed of after every treatment.

How is this different from NAET?

NAET is needle-free acupressure focused on allergies and sensitivities; acupuncture uses fine needles and is usually chosen for pain, tension, and stress. If you're not sure which fits, ask — we'll point you honestly.

Is it covered by insurance?

Some plans cover acupuncture. Call us and we'll help you check before your visit.
